19 - 21 February, 2019 | The Netherlands

Post Conference Focus Day

9:00 am - 9:30 am Welcome Coffee

9:30 am - 12:00 pm Smartfactory Workshop

A SmartFactory workshop was developed by PHA to allow quick investment and operational cost calculations for a new single-use biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Achieve a holistic approach through the design template GMP facilities (e.g. for the manufacturing of monoclonal antibody bulk drug substance on a 2 - 6 x 2000 L scale).
Based on a pre-workshop questionnaire filled by the attendees, PHA will select a e.g. monoclonal antibody -  project (product portfolio/model process) and work through the workshop process. Together we will determine the degree that the template facility must be adjusted to best fit the requirements. By the end of this workshop you will be able to achieve a preliminary investment cost within 30% accuracy and related operational cost.

Attend this workshop to:

- Map a product portfolio and process variations to position fundamental quality concepts
- Understand the cost structure of single use operations and explore the advantages and limitations for scale out opportunities
-Develop strategies on how to mitigate risks during project execution and assess the impact on the global manufacturing and supply chain.

12:00 pm - 1:00 pm Networking Lunch

1:00 pm - 3:00 pm Afternoon Workshop: Optimising Integration of New Technologies

Sam Denby - Facilitator BPOG
This workshop is designed to look at how to optimise integration of new technologies into existing manufacturing facilities and processes. Look at how to leverage new technologies across process development and manufacturing most effectively and efficiently.

Attend this workshop to:

-          Review how to rapidly integrate and scale up production with new technologies
-          Learn how to de-risk process development with new technologies
-          Discover where the gaps are in your processes and steps to take to bridge them
